Driving Instructor Training - Become a Driving Instructor
The Right Career for You?
In order to become an Approved Driving Instructor you need to be able to answer YES to all of the following :
- Have you held a full UK or EU licence for 3.5 out of the past 6 years?
- Can you read a normal size number plate from a distance of 27.5 metres (90 feet) with glasses if required?
- You have less than six points on your licence?
- No convictions in the past ten years that would prevent you from being on the Driving Instructors Register? For example : robbery, assault.
- Do you enjoy working with people?
If you can fulfil all of these minimum requirements then there should be nothing to stop you becoming a Driving Instructor.

Let's Instruct has been established in Northamptonshire to give quality driving instructor training at the highest level throughout The Midlands. Using the Let's Instruct driving instructor handbook, we will guide you through every step on the road to becoming a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor. Our aim is to see you succeed. Training will be delivered by Official Register of Driving Instructor Training (ORDIT) trainers and you will be supported throughout your course with appropriate driving instructor manual and lesson plans.
It is important that you are fully aware of what you are entering into before you decide to take training. Having read the information on this site we ask you to contact us for an information pack. Following this you can start your training within a week and for an initial cost of just £250.
